Sponsor a Child

Sponsorship consists in directly helping a needy child. This assistance will have a
lasting influence in breaking the poverty cycle which the child experiences. Upon
becoming a Sponsor you can make an immediate positive impact to the child’s
life and see tangible results. The aid which you give will be used in improving the
following aspects of our programme:

- Daily alimentation with high nutrition foods
- Preventative health interventions
- Education programmes, school materials, supplementary tuition
- Regular psycho emotional assessments, activities with psychologists,
- integration activities and personal and self esteem development.
- Two clothing yearly packages, Christmas toys and celebrations for International Children’s Day

Who can become a sponsor and what are the benefits?

Individuals

Benevolent individuals who collaborate by giving a monthly donation in the
condition of Sponsor are eligible for taxation benefits. Due to the Centre María
Elena Moyano’s legal status any structured donation is tax deductable according
to the Agreement between the Ministry of Economy and Finance and SUNAT. For
payments made the sponsor can deduct these from taxable incomes in the Fourth
and Fifth tax categories

Legal Persons

Businesses, that in their internal policy mechanisms to implement, promote
and fund social responsibility activities, have the facility to sponsor a child. The
Centre María Elena Moyano´s legal status allows any donation is tax deductable
according to the Agreement between the Ministry of Economy and Finance and
SUNAT. For any donation made the sponsor can deduct these from taxable
incomes via a donation certificate facilitated by the Centre.

When you commit to sponsoring a child you will receive:

- Two letters from the child and an up-to-date photo on a yearly basis
- An informative brochure that describes the living conditions of the child’s country
- A yearly report from the project’s director based in the child’s community
- The opportunity to write to the child whenever you choose and also send them gifts and Birthday, Christmas and Easter cards
- The possibility of visiting your sponsored child in coordination with the appropriate executing institution
