Who are we
VISION
In 2015 the Centre for Equity promotion María Elena Moyano will be a widely known
and respected institution for its specialisation in promoting processes of community self
management whose objectives are to ameliorate nutrition, food security and sustainable
development for impoverished and marginalised communities living in situations that adversely
affect protected natural areas y fragile ecosystems in Peru.
MISSION
To contribute to local actor and populations’ capacities of the optimal exercise of
their rights in the sustainable management of natural resources and subsequent
production processes; foster appropriate community management via effective
learning strategies that will promote good production practices, inclusive citizen
participation, equitous gender relations, democratic rights and, the construction of
sustainable human development.
Our Strategic Objective
- To create sustainable and successful experiences in improving food security
and, community health and nutrition management in highly impoverished
rural areas with a focus on women and children - To create sustainable and successful experiences in developing women’s
personal and institutional capacities in exercising their rights particularly in
respect to violence and political participation - To implement successful strategies to promote the protection and
conservation of natural sources of water, forests and vulnerable ecosystems
